Rules
Stars Baseball League – Rules
These rules are in consideration from comments received from parents in previous seasons. We have made these rules of the game for the protection and respect of the players, their parents, observers, coaches and umpires of the game.
- During the practices and the games, the player must have proper and complete attire or they will not be permitted to participate in the game or practice. (This includes hat, belt, pants that are provided by the league, and proper shirt).
- If the player will be absent from the game for any reason, please contact the coach immediately. If a player is absent from a game without notification to the coach, the player will be suspended from the next game.
- If the player is late, without an excuse, they will have to sit for the first two innings.
- Player must learn how to win or lose with dignity. After each game, players will have to line up and give each other their hands with respect. Any player that violates this rule will be suspended for the next game.
- Players are not allowed to eat or drink soda during practice or games. Each player should bring a water bottle with them to the dugout before the game/practice begins. They will not be allowed to leave the dugout during games.
- No practice or games during holidays.
- Parents should not interfere with the game or the umpires. They should also avoid yelling or speaking with the coaches and children during the games to avoid distraction.
- Any player that throws or slams bats, balls, helmets, or gloves and/or makes any offensive comments during a game, will be removed from the game immediately.
- If the weather is bad or it is extremely hot, please contact the following number before going to the field. 617-816-0395 / 617-866-1710 / 617-224-8843.
We are here not only to show the players the rules of baseball, we are also here to show them discipline and respect for their team and the coaches that provide their time to serve the community.
Thank you, Rafael
